A round of polish for the mobile app and a handful of fixes that make day-to-day Hello Hotel feel a little snappier.
Calls on the iOS app now bridge WebRTC audio with CallKit's VoIP layer, which means cleaner connections, fewer audio dropouts, and the same call quality you'd expect from a native phone app. We also patched a low-level audio noise issue that affected some incoming calls.
Notifee integration — call notifications on mobile are now more reliable and better integrated with iOS notification UI
Notification sounds — incoming messages and calls now play notification sounds on mobile
Lockscreen handling — improved how calls and notifications behave on the device lockscreen
When a new message comes in, only the team members assigned to that number's routing get the alert, not everyone in the org. Your team gets the notifications that are actually relevant to them.
Conversation read status now updates optimistically, so marking threads as read feels instant rather than waiting for the server to confirm.
Notification leak fix — removed team members no longer receive notifications they shouldn't
Spam call screening fix — patched an edge case in the spam detection logic
Authentication email handling — normalized how email addresses are matched during login, fixing some edge cases
Phone number porting — porting orders no longer require an invoice in cases where one isn't available

A big week for AI in Hello Hotel — the AI agent is now available to every customer, voicemails and inbound calls get AI-generated summaries, and the AI can draft follow-up messages for your team. Plus a new automation condition for room status.
The AI agent is out of beta and available to every Hello Hotel account. It handles routine guest questions over text and pulls live guest and reservation context from your PMS.
Voice AI is still in limited release — reach out if you want to be part of the next wave.
Voicemail cards and missed inbound call cards now show an AI-generated summary at a glance, so your team can scan their queue without listening to every recording or reading every transcript.
When a guest conversation needs a follow-up, your team can ask the AI agent to draft the next message. The draft is informed by the full conversation history and reservation context — review, edit, and send.
You can now branch your automations on the current status of a guest's room. Set up rules like "if the space is clean and the guest is checked in, send the welcome SMS" or "only send the check-in code once the room is inspected."
In Mews, rooms are called "spaces" — that's the term you'll see in the conditions panel.
Emails sent through automations now appear inline in the guest's conversation thread, alongside texts, calls, and voicemails. Your team gets the full picture of every guest interaction in one view.

Emergency address (E911) — view and manage E911 status from mobile (this shipped for web in the last update)
Tag management — add, remove, and edit guest tags from the mobile app
A first pass at bringing the contacts list to feature parity with the web:
Status indicators in the contacts list
Filter and sort — find guests faster
Tag color fix — tags now render with the correct color
Subscription toggles — manage email subscription state per guest
Improved conversation filters on the web — find threads faster
Mobile conversations improvements — better message rendering and threading

A big update this cycle — automated emails from your own address, the ability to bring your existing phone numbers to Hello Hotel, and a cleaner separation between marketing campaigns and day-to-day guest service.
You can now send automated emails through your own Gmail or SMTP account — guests see your hotel's address in their inbox instead of [email protected].
Connect your email — Gmail (one-click OAuth), SMTP (any provider), or Resend
Send Email workflow action — trigger emails from any automation, with template variables for guest name, reservation details, and more
Send to anyone — guests, team members, or custom recipients
Health checks and test sends — the connection page shows live status and lets you send a test email before going live
Built-in safety — rate limiting (100 emails/hour per organization), full audit log of every email sent, and 90-day delivery history
Find it under Settings → Integrations → Email.
You can now bring your existing hotel phone numbers to Hello Hotel — no need to publish a new number to guests, OTAs, or signage. Number transfers are handled through Telnyx with end-to-end status tracking inside the app.
Guests now have proper email subscription state, so transactional emails always go through and marketing emails respect opt-outs.
Subscription status per guest — track whether each guest is opted in for marketing emails
Suppression list — bounces and unsubscribes are tracked automatically
Email event log — every send, open, bounce, and unsubscribe is recorded against the guest record
Marketing campaigns now use their own messaging profile, separate from your guest service messaging. Campaign sends won't interfere with day-to-day guest conversations, and you get cleaner reporting on campaign performance.
Self-service account sign-up and deletion — guests can sign up directly from the app, and account deletion is now self-service
Trigger deduplication — schedule and check-in/check-out triggers no longer fire multiple times for the same guest within a window

A compliance-focused update this week — emergency calling support, better Zapier integrations, and a cleaner 10DLC setup experience.
Your phone numbers now support E911 emergency services. Each number can have a verified emergency address on file, which is required for 911 calls to route correctly.
Address validation — addresses are verified through Telnyx with real-time status updates
Smart suggestions — if your address doesn't pass validation, the system suggests corrections automatically
Retry support — failed validations can be retried with one click
Status tracking — each number shows its E911 status (pending, verified, or failed) so you always know where things stand
Admin visibility — organization admins can see E911 status across all phone numbers from the admin page
Zapier actions for managing guest tags are now more robust:
Better validation — tag names are validated before processing, with clear error messages when something's off
Webhook support — the update-contact webhook now supports adding and removing tags, so your external tools can manage guest tags directly
The 10DLC campaign registration form has been streamlined — marketing-specific fields that didn't apply to most hotel use cases have been removed, making setup faster and less confusing.

We've been busy. Here's everything that shipped in the first half of April — from a full design refresh to smarter automations and better tools for managing your guest contacts.
The entire app has a new design. Cleaner colors, a collapsible sidebar, redesigned conversation bubbles, and a refreshed account page. Calls, voicemails, and automated messages all have their own distinct styling so you can scan your inbox faster. You can also access voicemail details — playback, transcription, and resolve — right from the conversation without navigating away.
Your Contacts page now shows a lot more at a glance:
Guest status badges — see who's In-House, Future, Past, and more with color-coded labels
Stay date ranges — check-in and check-out columns show the actual stay dates, with a tooltip showing room, number of nights, and booking source
Repeat guest indicator — guests with 2+ stays show a count next to their name
Online check-in icon — quickly spot guests who checked in online
Column visibility — show or hide columns from a dropdown, and your preferences stick between sessions
CSV export — export all contacts or a filtered set to CSV
Date & time conditions — trigger automations based on the current day of the week or time of day
Better trigger descriptions — the automation editor now shows clearer summaries of what each trigger does
Improved template rendering — reservation variables now work more reliably in automated messages
Workflow trigger labels — automated messages in conversations now show which workflow sent them
You can now search across all your conversations by message content. Results highlight the matching text so you can find exactly what you're looking for.
Added 2FA support for your account. Enable it from your Account page to add an extra layer of security when logging in.
Outbound text messages now show delivery status — you'll know whether a message was sent, delivered, or failed without leaving the conversation.
Real-time status updates for your 10DLC registration so you always know where things stand. Improved handling for brand resubmissions and campaign status checks.
New tools for managing phone numbers tied to booking platforms like Airbnb and VRBO — keep your OTA communication lines organized alongside your direct guest numbers.

A big batch of updates this month — an AI voice agent for handling calls, a full automation engine, and the compliance tools you need to send messages at scale.
Hello Hotel can now answer calls for you. The AI voice agent picks up when your team can't, handles common guest questions, and can even look up reservation details in Mews in real time.
Automatic call handling — the AI answers when no one is available
Mews booking lookup — the agent can check reservation details, room assignments, and dates while on the call
Transfer detection — the system knows when a call needs a human and routes accordingly
Calls are now recorded and transcribed automatically. Open any call in your conversation history to listen to the recording or read the transcript.
Build workflows that run automatically based on guest events. The automation editor lets you set up triggers, conditions, and actions — no code required.
Triggers — fire when a reservation is created, a guest checks in or out, or a reservation status changes
Conditions — check payment status, guest balance, and reservation details before acting
Actions — send text messages with dynamic guest and reservation data
Status filters — only run automations for specific reservation statuses
Scheduling — automations run on a consolidated schedule for reliability
To send text messages in the US, carriers require 10DLC registration. We've built the full compliance workflow into the app:
Brand registration — register your business brand with carriers directly from Hello Hotel
Campaign management — create and manage messaging campaigns with proper use-case descriptions
Phone number assignment — assign your numbers to approved campaigns
Multi-brand support — manage multiple brands if you operate several properties
Campaign deletion — clean up campaigns you no longer need
Send marketing campaigns to your guests with built-in opt-out handling. Guests who reply STOP are automatically removed from future messages.
The signup flow has been rebuilt as a clean multi-step process. New users are guided through creating their organization, getting their phone number, and setting up their first integrations.
Billing has moved to Polar with usage-based metering. You'll see clearer invoices, usage tracking, and admin approval workflows for new accounts.

Welcome to Hello Hotel! Here's what's live as we open the doors to our first pilot customers.
Hello Hotel gives your property a dedicated phone number for calls and texts. Every conversation with every guest lives in one shared inbox — no more scattered text threads across personal phones.
Shared inbox — all guest messages and calls in one place, visible to your whole team
Calls and voicemail — make and receive calls from your browser, with voicemail when you can't pick up
Text messaging — send and receive SMS with guests, individually or in bulk
Incoming calls can ring your team in the order you choose. Set up sequential routing so calls go to the front desk first, then a manager, then voicemail — all automatically.
Sequential routing — calls ring team members in order until someone picks up
Personal phone forwarding — forward calls to your cell with confirmation prompts so you can screen
Answering machine detection — skip voicemails when forwarding to personal phones
Spam detection — known spam calls are flagged automatically
Hello Hotel is available on iOS. Get push notifications for incoming calls and messages, and respond from anywhere.
Import and manage your guest contacts. Each guest has a detail page showing their conversation history, tags, and contact info.
Connect your Mews PMS to automatically sync guest reservations, contact details, and booking data. Guest profiles stay up to date without manual entry.
